At present, the collection of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts consists of more than 500.000 works of art including paintings, sculptures, graphic art, decorative art, archeological monuments, numismatic items, and photography. The most famous collections of the museum are the Art of Ancient Civilizations, Collections of European painting (from the 8th till the early 20th century), Collection of Decorative and Applied Art and other famous divisions. The Numismatic Collection is considered to be one of the best and oldest in Russia.
